The MU20 Summit will take place on October 27th, 28th, and 29th. The Opening Ceremony will be held at The Emerald Heights International School. The Conference sessions, on the other hand, will take place at SVKM NMIMS Indore.
The MU20 Summit is open to students ranging from grades 6th to 12th. This broad age range includes middle school and high school students, ensuring that a diverse group of young minds can participate, interact, and engage in the summit’s activities.
Registration Fee Structure for Participating Schools:
Schools in host city (Indore):
- INR 3000 per student.
Inclusions: Registration fee, Delegate kit, Access to the MU20 Summit, Food
Schools outside the host city:
- INR 8000 per student.
Inclusions: Accommodation, Intracity transport, Registration fee, Delegate kit, Access to the MU20 Summit, Food
Students have the opportunity to engage in a range of challenges at the MU20 Summit. These include:
- MU20 Theatrics Challenge: A platform for students to develop acting, directing, and stagecraft skills, fostering creativity and artistic expression.
- Model United Nations: An event where students simulate the proceedings of the United Nations, enhancing their diplomacy and negotiation abilities.
- MU20 Debating Challenge: A platform for students to practice persuasive communication and logical reasoning through debates.
- MU20 Impact Challenge: An opportunity to address real-world issues and develop innovative solutions for positive impact.
- MU20 Entrepreneurship Challenge: A challenge that likely encourages students to think creatively and develop entrepreneurial ideas.
Yes, certificates of participation will be provided to all students who attend and actively participate in the summit.

The commencement of registrations is scheduled for the first week of October.
The five challenges of the MU20 Summit: Model United Nations, Impact Challenge, Debating Challenge, Theatrics Challenge, and Entrepreneurship Challenge are scheduled to occur simultaneously, spanning from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the evening.
Junior-grade participants are typically allocated to five specific committees, namely:
- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP),
- The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP),
- The World Health Organization (WHO),
- The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and
- The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF).

No, students are allowed to participate in only one challenge throughout the summit. This limitation ensures that participants can focus their efforts and fully engage in their chosen challenge, maximizing their learning and contribution to that specific area.
The dress code for each day of the MU20 Summit is specified as follows:
- Day 1 (27th October): Formals
- Day 2 (28th October): Indian Traditionals
- Day 3 (29th October): Formals
Participants from the host city (Indore): They will receive 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 3 hi-teas for the days of the conference.
Outstation Participants: They will receive 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 hi-teas, and 3 dinners for the conference.
Yes, schools that participate in multiple challenges have the opportunity to be recognized as the “Best School Delegation.” This recognition acknowledges the school’s overall performance and engagement across various challenges, showcasing their commitment to excellence and diverse participation.
Yes, there are certain rules of conduct that all participating students need to adhere to during the summit. These rules ensure a respectful and productive environment for all attendees. Guidelines will be provided to ensure proper decorum during sessions and activities. It’s important to promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning, networking, and meaningful interactions among participants.
Instances of inappropriate behavior or rule violations will be taken seriously and addressed promptly. Our priority is to create a safe and respectful environment for all participants. If any such incidents occur, we encourage teachers and students to report them to the designated event staff or organizers. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include counseling, warnings, or, in extreme cases, removal from the summit. We are committed to ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for everyone at MU20.
Transportation arrangements for attendees from Indore will be overseen by their respective schools. Delegates traveling from outside the city will be provided with transportation assistance for the duration of the conference.
Participation in the Model United Nations, Impact Challenge, Debating Challenge, Theatrics Challenge, and Entrepreneurship Challenge is open to students in the 9th to 12th grades.
Meanwhile, students in the 6th to 8th grades have the opportunity to engage in the Model United Nations junior committees.
The participation format varies based on the challenge. Participation in both the Model United Nations and the Impact Challenge is on an individual basis.
However, when it comes to the other challenges, the participation format varies as follows:
For the Debating Challenge: teams of 3 individuals are expected to collaborate;
Similarly, the Entrepreneurship Challenge: a team composition of 3 participants,
And for the Theatrics Challenge: a larger team configuration of 5 members is stipulated.
Individual registrations are not allowed for the MU20 Summit. To attend, a student must be part of the official delegation sent by their school.
